Water as a Weight Loss Supplement

Water is what makes life on Earth possible. It is vital for survival. In fact, our bodies are 70% water. So, why does drinking more water help you lose weight? There are many reasons. Primarily, being properly hydrated allows your body run more smoothly. When all of your systems are running at their best, you have more strength, more stamina, and more ability to get up off the couch and move!

Flush Those Impurities Away!

It Flushes Out Impurities

You can’t wash the inside of your body, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t collect unhealthy substances and get gunked up. Drinking plenty of water is the best way to flush out your system and keep impurities out.

Pitcher of Water

It Makes You Feel Full

If you drink a glass of water before you eat, you will eat less and still feel full. This is also a great way to avoid snacking between meals. When you feel a little hungry, grab a glass of water instead of those potato chips!

Ice Water Burns Extra Calories

The theory here is that your body uses about one hundred extra calories to warm the water up to body temperature. Makes you want to stock up on ice!

Reduces Bloating

This might seem like common sense, but part of the process of ridding your body of all of those impurities is making them come out, thus reducing bloating.

You May Be Thirsty Not Hungry

What we think are hunger pains are often our body showing signs of thirst, we just misinterpret it! Try drinking a glass or two of water and see if it eases those hunger pains!

Cup of Water

It Gives You Energy

Not only does water give you as much energy as coffee, it also takes three glasses of water to replace what you lose because of coffee’s diuretic effect. Plus there is no caffeine crash later!
